He is a 3-time USPTA Tennessee Professional of the Year and 2-time PTR Tennessee Professional of the Year. He spent 9 years coaching college tennis where his players and teams were nationally ranked, making 3 appearances at the National Championships. Bill received the USPTA Southern College Coach of the Year twice and was also an Intercollegiate Award winner twice for his community support.

Aside from competing in events across the world, he also coached ITF, WTA, and ATP players and a NCAA Division 1 team. He got to see a different side of the events from the coaching angle. Yet another perspective he is enjoying now is as a tennis parent to his daughter. Tomas is currently the Director of Tennis for the City of Fairhope and the President and Founder of the Gulf Coast Tennis Association.
