I was expected to be bedridden the entire time of wearing the body cast. My parents encouraged me to use the mantra words… I can. I will. I must. I AM… as I was being taught to walk on crutches with such a massively heavy body cast. This mantra put miracle power into my movement and gave me freedom to not be bedridden.
