  • Life as a Gamer #88 - I'm not shallow. I just like pretty things

    22/07/2019 Duration: 01h03min

Today were taking about one of the defining parts of game creation, graphics. When the developer puts together a game they choose how to portray their game through the graphics, this is how we get to experience there creation. Hyper-graphics in games have been defined by big titles like Half Life 2, Crysis and Battlefield. They gave us some of the biggest leaps and got stuck in our memories. Smaller games have the advantage of trying different and interesting ides like Gris, Ori, Cuphead and countless other games. But what does the future hold? What is the next big thing?

  • Life as a Gamer #87 - 100th(ish) episode extravaganza!

    17/07/2019 Duration: 58min

We have created a total of 100 episodes! We have been doing this podcast for over one and a half year now and is still having a blast. In this episode I challenge Christian and Fredrik to guess what we talked about in a few old episodes just based on the name of the episodes. Fredrik is the genius behind all of the names for the episodes and knowing what the episode is about isn't always the easiest. It's Wednesday which also means news. Nintendo is still trailing with info after E3. A Switch with a bigger battery sounds interesting and a late release date for which game? Game stores still exist but for how long? Gamestop is doing everything they can but is it enough?
