EPISODE #13 –“Dave & Dave Unchained – A Van Halen Podcast” celebrates its first anniversary with a massive party dubbed “VAN HALEN BASH” starring Romeo Delight – “The Ultimate Van Halen Tribute Band” at the Nutty Irishman in Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Listen as the Daves interview the band in their hotel room, which broke out into an acoustic jam session. Then head into the venue where the duo interviews fans, holds some VH raffles and broadcasts samples of live cuts from set 1 and 2 featuring “Van Halen I” and “1984” in their entirety plus full plays of some deep album cuts. Don’t forget, a little VH news to top it off!

EPISODE #12 – This time around the Daves have an in-depth discussion about Van Halen’s album covers from 1978-2015 including an interview with “1984” album cover artist Margo Nahas. Plus, they talk to VH’s almost-lead singer Mitch Malloy about his newly released recordings with VH and more Halen related news.

EPISODE #11 – In celebration of the 5th anniversary of Van Halen’s 12th studio album, “A Different Kind of Truth,” the Daves conduct an exclusive interview with the album’s producer John Shanks about the making of the record. Plus, there’s an update on current VH news and a very special announcement.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDIE VAN HALEN! The Daves celebrate by focusing on EVH’s solo works outside the band from 1978 to the present. Plus Kevin Dodds, author of “Edward Van Halen: A Definitive Biography,” is interviewed about all things Edward.

The Daves breakdown the entire list of Van Halen rumors that are being floated on the internet and weigh in with their opinions on the probability of each one coming true. Additionally, comedian Noel Elgrably, who recently met David Lee Roth at a cigar shop in Studio City, CA, is interviewed about his encounter.

EPISODE #9 – The end of the year puts a focus on compilations. The Daves analyze and agonize over Van Halen’s 1996’s “Best of Volume I” collection as well as 2004’s “The Best of Both Worlds” double-disc set. Also discussed is Sammy Hagar’s new compilation, “This is Sammy Hagar: When the Party Started, Vol. 1” plus the duo decodes the Van Hagar reunion rumors. Interviews with “The Van Halen Encyclopedia” author C.J. Chilvers and Chickenfoot replacement drummer Kenny Aronoff round out the episode.

EPISODE #8 – The Daves dial the clock back to 1998 when Van Halen decided to hire Gary Cherone of Extreme to front the band. The “Van Halen III” album is discussed track-by-track along with the bootlegged bonus song (“That’s Why I Love You”) that was left off the record, the shelved live album and the aborted sophomore effort with Cherone. Plus, there’s an interview with Mr. Cherone and VH news on Michael Anthony, David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen.

EPISODE #7 – It’s Rocktober folks and in celebration of David Lee Roth (Oct. 10) and Sammy Hagar’s (Oct. 13) birthdays, the Daves pit 1981’s “Fair Warning” against 1991’s “For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge” in an album battle. Plus, they discuss Hagar’s appearance on “The Voice,” VH’s position on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and conduct an interview with singer Marq Torien of the Van Halen inspired-band, BulletBoys.

EPISODE #6 (part 2) – This time around the Daves discuss Sammy Hagar’s apology to Van Halen on the Oprah Winfrey Network plus one of the Dave’s recent backstage encounter with Gene Simmons of KISS that stirs up theories about Eddie and Alex Van Halen’s involvement in recording the 1977 KISS hit, “Christine Sixteen.” Additionally, they talk with singer Buddy Blanchard who takes on the David Lee Roth role in the Van Halen tribute band, ROMEO DELIGHT.

EPISODE #6 (part 1) - Twenty years ago Van Halen reunited with David Lee Roth at the 1996 MTV Video Music Awards but the reunion was short-lived as the band imploded after 5 minutes on stage. In this episode, the Daves dissect this catastrophic moment in VH history and the fallout that followed. Plus, they interview guitarist Derek Fuller who portrays Eddie Van Halen in the Van Halen tribute band, FAN HALEN.

EPISODE #5 – What would have happened if Van Halen went with another singer instead of Gary Cherone? Find out in an exclusive interview with Nashville rock vocalist Mitch Malloy, who had a brief stint as the third singer in the mighty Van Halen.
