    Had a great yarn this week with Mick Ryan, Aboriginal health liaison officer at Barwon Health, and Gail Frost Geelong Gallery Educator. We found out about their work towards reconciliation, and the impact that Tandop David Tournier had on their lives. The Geelong Gallery has a childrens art exhibition titled *Lets talk recognition* and it runs from 20 May to 9 July 2017. We also promoted the 8th Reconciliation in the Park that is on Sunday May the 28th at Johnstone Park, from 10.00 till 3.00pm.

    National Reconciliation Week Is a campaign held every year in Australia that works to build stronger ties between Indigenous Australia and other communities through media and community events. Today is the first of two *Roads* programs to promote the week, and also to promote Geelongs 8th year of Reconciliation in the Park. This year is quite special as it will be the first time we will be without Tandop David Tournier. Johnstone Park will still be full of activities, music, tucker, and lots of information about our community, on Sunday May the 28th. The International Day of recognition has been held on May 17 every year since 2004, when it began as IDAHo. We chat about its origins and growth to IDAHoBIT, marriage equality, and other relevant bits and pieces, with Australian Marriage Equality campaigner Sharyn Faulkner, Christine Shaw, a Talent Acquisition Officer with Barwon Health, and consumer, Rob, who is on Barwon Healths GLBTIQ Inclusive Practice Project Committee.
