    03/11/2015 Duration: 01h05min

Graeme Souness might just be the best British midfielder of all time. Here's his origin story - from frustration at Spurs to his emergence at Middlesbrough - and fantastic insights into the mechanics of the Liverpool winning machine of the 1980s, an easy life in Italy with Sampdoria, and revolution at Rangers.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Harry Redknapp: The first half

    25/10/2015 Duration: 41min

My chat with Harry Redknapp went on a bit, so we had to split it. Here's the first half - extraordinary tales from an extraordinary life in football, including the dumbest move West Ham ever made; how not to sign Ian Wright; and what happens when you pull a fast one on Barry Fry.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Darren Fletcher: The Midfield Wars

    15/10/2015 Duration: 59min

Darren Fletcher has come through more tests than most, and has emerged as a serial winner and one of the most engaging and intelligent footballers you could meet - and a manager in the making.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • The Best of the Big Interview - and a cry for help!

    06/10/2015 Duration: 42min

  • Chris Waddle: The Entertainer

    07/09/2015 Duration: 01h20min

Chris Waddle - England's Zidane, in my opinion - breaks down what made him one of the great entertainers of his generation: his body swerve, his step-over, his decisions as to when to 'go for' an opponent. You hardly EVER hear a top-level athlete get to the bottom of their talent like this. Also starring Eric Cantona, Jean-Pierre Papin, Paul Gascoigne, Franz Beckenbauer, Tommy Hutichison and Glenn Hoddle.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Charlie Nicholas: The Truth About Charlie

    21/08/2015 Duration: 01h15min

Charlie Nicholas was a sensationally impish, creative and uplifting footballer for Celtic, Arsenal, Aberdeen and Scotland. These days he's a Soccer Saturday legend on Sky Sports most Saturdays alongside Jeff Stelling, Paul Merson, Matt Le Tissier and Phil Thompson. What inspired me to choose Charlie for this information is partly the fun he gave me during his playing career [have I mentioned the mighty Dandies before?] partly the fact that back in 1988 he was one of my first ever football interviews .... but also the thought that many, nowadays, know him far more for his TV work than for what a magical football presence he was in the 1980's and 1990's. A balance that needed redressing. It turned out to be one of the most intriguing, honest, enjoyable football conversations I have had for a long time. I think our guest emerges as a true student of football and defies the 'Champagne Charlie' stereotypes. His career is littered with great names - Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenny Dalglish, Graeme Souness, Danny...

Part two coming soon.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

  • Kevin Bridges: Mourinho and me

    05/06/2015 Duration: 54min

Kevin Bridges is one of the UK's funniest stand-ups and a serious football fanatic. In this conversation with Graham, he finds the funny in a brief encounter with his Celtic hero, Henrik Larsson; his love of FC Barcelona; a memorable trip to the Super Clasico in Buenos Aires; and the day he compared notes with Jose Mourinho.  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

He's great on another historic final - the UEFA Cup win over Alaves, and why Liverpool couldn't celebrate it. • Gordon Strachan: Iniesta and the Golden Age

    14/05/2015 Duration: 49min

Graham meets Gordon Strachan and almost avoids talking about Aberdeen's European titles in the 80s. The Scotland manager believes we are currently watching a golden age of football and explains why Andres Iniesta is his pick of an unsurpassed generation of footballers. He goes back to his role in the 1992 Leeds United team that won the last championship before the dawn of the Premier League - and reveals why Eric Cantona could never be more than a brief influence on that side.
