First we will review projected key dates for new markets tax credit professionals, including when we expect debriefing letters to be sent, when recent awardees can expect to start seeing allocation agreements, and when the CDFI Fund is expected to release the upcoming Notice of Allocation Availability or NOAA. Second, we will examine new rules for tax preparers and the effect they will have on affordable housing and community development entities.

    This week we're going to cover three issues: first, in the aftermath of the California wildfires, we felt it was a good time to review the authority state allocating agencies have to provide temporary relief for owners of low-income housing tax credit properties. Second we'll look at the status of legislation to extend the new markets tax credit through 2009. Third, we're going to look at the status of efforts to extend renewable energy tax credits.
