this episode features forgettable monsters and tears! fun for the whole family.

lots of things going on in this episode. beth's audio for the first 15 minutes somehow disappeared (but it's ok because caroline is a better talker anyway). the mayor wants angel to bang his daughter. it's a whole thing.

this is one for the books, folks. in our longest episode yet, we FINALLY admit to ourselves that...... yes. we like angel. and we like buffy and angel. we've been in too much denial for too long, and it's time to own our truth. it feels good, y'all. feels good.

okay, so we've more or less given up on the idea that the police or FBI or INTERPOL or WHOEVER will come to sunnydale. but surely the IRS would be all up in the mayor's business for using government funds to buy faith an apartment?? like we're not crazy for thinking this, right? or is sunnydale a completely lawless wasteland where government entities never deign to go?? we have so many questions. also this episode is good but mostly the IRS thing.

forget the murder – the REAL tragedy of this episode is willow's characterization. OUR GIRL DESERVES BETTER.

who knew that focusing on xander would make for the best episode we've seen all season?? even owen wilson is surprised.

happy 20th, buffy! to celebrate, we got halfway through season 3. beth doesn't know how words work, and caroline hates this episode until literally 10 minutes before the end. it's a good time.
