Hit the road with the Nameless Cults crew as we talk about horror movies taking place on America's highways! Mostly we just talk about The Hitcher (in a long, somewhat spoilery discussion), but we make time for some others at the end including Duel, Joy Ride, Breakdown and The Hitch-Hiker. Topics include the golden age of Horror Hosts, being so old and lame that you talk about "when MTV was cool", and why Michael would be the first to die in any of these movies. We're back from our holiday hiatus - or should I say holiday hi-ATE-us (ugh, no I shouldn't), because this time we're talking about the most delicious of horror subgenres, the cannibal movie! Subtopics include death metal, rare Fangoria covers, and the importance of family. Dig in!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! Get those Silver Shamrock masks on and listen to us discuss some of our favorite Halloween movies not directed by John Carpenter, in particular Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Night of the Demons, and Trick 'r Treat. We share conflicting opinions of Idle Hands, I make a musical proclamation possibly more controversial than my Ramones one, and Dan shares a fun behind-the-scenes story from his days doing special effects.

We talk about the political/class dimensions of some of the horror movies that hold up a dark mirror to society, including The Stuff, Society, The People Under the Stairs, and Invasion of the Body Snatchers. I also whiff one of Dan's jokes really badly by being the most gullible person on the planet. Hiya, Georgie! Come down into the sewer with us and we'll give you the only take you need on the new horror movie everybody's talking about. Topics include jump scares, Charles Manson's taxidermied body, and places to go in Chicago.

This one has been in the works for a while. We discuss our favorite horror movie soundtracks and go off on a lot of tangents. Our longest and most fun episode yet. Also our most complicated editing-wise, so hopefully I didn't screw it up too bad.

In which we eulogize George Romero (1940-2017), one of the all-time greats of the genre, by doing a deep dive on his most famous works, the Living Dead movies.

We're back! We discuss the spookiest subgenre, the Haunted House story. Topics include whether we would buy a house someone was murdered in, if cats can see ghosts, and which Empire Records characters we would be. I coin the new most beautiful phrase in the English language, "Extra-contextual gimmickry," but I also describe something as "a boatload of fun" and am horrified at what an old man I sound like. Me and Dan gush about one of my all-time favorite movies, Near Dark, also making time to pay tribute to the dearly departed Bill Paxton and discuss some of our favorite vampire movies. We keep it pretty spoiler-free up until the ending, but definitely watch this damn movie if you haven't seen it.

Releasing this one out of sequence so we can get it out while the movie's still in theaters. We discuss Alien: Covenant, its place in the Alien franchise, and whether Prometheus is really as bad as everyone says it is. Don't @ us (just kidding, please @ us).

We're back! After much technical difficulties (aka me being very stupid), here's us talking about Night of the Creeps, one of Dan's favorites that I had somehow never seen. I mostly ramble and recap the plot because I was so blown away by it. Gets spoilery about halfway through. Affix your brain slugs and tune in.
