Most of the attention as to who could have killed her turned to a man named John Sheldon Kearns with whom Sarah had been having a relationship. It seems as though he was pressuring Nadia to marry but she didn't want to. When Singh was found with the only set of keys to the car, Nadia's driver's license and her phone signs started to point toward him. Then, even more damning evidence came out but still, to this day, no charges have ever been filed in Nadia's death.
