    Sam Carter is the explosive lead vocalist for British metalcore band, Architects – who last year, achieved their first Number One UK Album. The band has gone from strength to strength, playing The Royal Albert Hall during the 2020 lockdown and recording their latest album at Abbey Road Studios. Sam is not afraid to use the stage to voice his opinions, often speaking out about veganism and other political issues. In fact, as of 2015, Architects are an all-vegan band and Sam is a UK ambassador for direct-action marine conservation organisation Sea Shepherd. Viva!’s Faye Lewis caught up with the frontman to talk about veganism, his love of animals and why it is his dogs have a better life than he does. Following the interview, Faye is joined by Viva!'s head of investigations, Lex Rigby, to talk about Sam's incredible story.     Matt Pritchard has achieved a lot in his 48 years. He shot to fame as a professional skateboarder and stuntman for MTV’s hugely successful programme Dirty Sanchez, before reinventing himself as a celebrity chef in 2019 – hosting the first vegan cookery TV show, Dirty Vegan, on BBC. He’s also released two vegan cookbooks: Dirty Vegan and Dirty Vegan: Another Bite. In recent years though, it’s his transformation into an ultra-fit Ironman that has been his main focus and preoccupation. Viva!’s Faye Lewis caught up with the “wild man-turned-Ironman” and chatted vegan stereotypes, having an addictive personality, and, of course, his love of food and journey to veganism. Kate, who is also a champion triathlete, now holds the record for completing the furthest distance on a static bike over 24 hours. She began the challenge at 3pm on May 26 in Bristol, UK. In order to beat the records, she had to cycle over 35.3km in one hour and 348km in 12 hours. We chat to her about her incredible journey as a vegan, an athlete and as a woman.
