In this concluding message on our Reaching Out series we look at practical ways to reach out. The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:9, God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

Evangelism is seeking to convert others to the Christian faith 1 Peter 3:15 says ‘But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect’.

To understand why we need to reach out to others, we need to To understand what God has done for us, to understand that lost means lost and also to understand that the end of all things is drawing closer 1 Peter 2:9 says …. you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Proverbs 9:10 says The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

Galatians 5:22-23 says But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. So Let us trust God to do the work in us
