Synopsis
You know those movies that you loved as a kid? What ever happened to them? Maybe you remember grabbing a random VHS cover off the shelves at Blockbuster, but can't quite remember the title. Or perhaps you loved a strangely specific scene from some bizarre film your cousin owned, but you can't really recall the plot. Good news for you. In Throwback Theater, our four hosts will track down and revisit these old movies to answer one question: Does It Hold Up? Each week, a new movie will be reviewed and discussed as mostly sober adults to figure out what we remember, what we liked about it in the first place, and how we feel about it now. Join us in our quest to relive (or maybe destroy) our childhood.

Ep. 38 - Demon In A Bottle
06/08/2020 Duration: 45minThis is admittedly a pretty obscure movie, but it's one that is definitely worth talking about (and watching). This movie was originally made for Disney. However, the mouse himself decided it wasn't up to their standards, so they sent it out to international audiences, where our own Lucas Esteves saw it as a small boy in Brazil. This is one you might want to watch before listening. It's a simple movie on the surface, but it's a little dense, and a lot bonkers. Watch it for free on Youtube! Ep. 24 - Look Who's Talking Too
09/01/2017 Duration: 33minThe romantic ups and downs of accountant Mollie Jensen (Kirstie Alley) are viewed cynically by a most unusual bystander -- her talking newborn, Mikey (Bruce Willis). She becomes pregnant through an affair with a married man, Albert (George Segal), and then counts on the friendship of taxi driver James (John Travolta) once she discovers Albert is a lying cad. Although Mikey likes James, and James cares for both the baby and Mollie, she isn't sure she can settle down with a blue-collar boyfriend.
