What does it mean to fight like a girl? It's not going around punching boys in the face. Not okay! (It's not the way you should handle things) To fight like a girl means standing up for what is good, true, and beautiful, including standing up for other girls and their dignity. Sometimes we even know what we need, but we're afraid to tell someone. We think, "Well, I don't want to be too much of a bother. I don't want them to think I'm too much like this or too much like that." But we need to communicate. We need to look at someone and say, "This is what I need." In emergencies, I think we all do it. But in normal day-to-day life, we need to do this. I am not someone that takes criticism very well. I don't like being criticized. I don't like being told I've done something wrong. Recently, Justin (I'm happy to have guys ear-dropping in on our show) came and pointed out a mistake in one video. He got the point of what I was trying to say. But where I spoke wrongly, he understood me speaking wrongly. He was charitable in his correction, and he assumed the best in me. Modesty as defined in the dictionary “is a behavior, manner, or appearance intended to avoid impropriety or indecency. “ But is that really the only thing that defines it? I spoke recently for a group of college students from Texas State University talking  about this very topic "Modesty" and what it means as an idea, it is more than just wearing "appropriate" clothing. I hope you enjoy this episode it was such a fun talk to give and I even included the audience in. They all knew they were a part of the podcast. They are real and honest about what they have learned in parenting their 10 amazing children and they have a podcast and resources for any stage of parenting. Mike and Alicia worked with Catholic Engaged Encounter in the first seven years of their marriage and they worked to bring a family ministry to their parish.
