Waiting is not fun. Waiting is something we all must do. But why does God make us wait? He tells his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they receive power from on high. Why not give them the Spirit now? Listen in as we discover what God is doing!

After Easter Jesus wants us to feed his sheep. We are called to others. Jesus did what he did for others, not himself. John Mark is matter-of-fact in his bare bones approach to revealing the Gospel of Jesus. Already in chapter one he introduces Jesus' authority over the unseen world: the demonic. The Baptism of our Lord is the focal point of today's worship. John the Baptist, Jesus' cousin, is clear that Jesus' baptism is more than water and repentance. Jesus' baptism is going to be with the Holy Spirit and fire! We need that baptism. We must experience the Holy Spirit and the fire that he brings!
