Editor's Note - While this episode is very funny, Guy and Tom play two adventurers trying their very best to comedically end their lives. After giving a stunning performance with a less than 100% survival rate, the Dragon Friends are given a moment of reprise from machinations of their shadowy adversaries. For once the Dragon Friends feel like they're a step ahead of their shadowy enemies, as they have the knowledge and the means to thwart the opening of one of the seven gates. After putting on an admirable show of plot advancement, The Dragon Friends continue finding ways to squander the precious time they have left. The mystery of the Hoffermans deepens, as The Dragon Friends are separated to try and gather the disparate pieces of a shattered family. Despite their best intentions, the Dragon Friends are foiled in their attempts to explicitly aid the villains of their adventure and are embroiled in a murder most foul. After an incredibly consequential misadventure, the new Dukes return home to a fresh mystery of Wills and High Families. A mysterious outbreak of an unknown affliction at the Mericival\Skidders wedding sets off a chain of events that leads the Dragon Friends to get closer to Father Brackenvald and his masked and muted priests of Ilmater.
