In Galatians 4, Paul compares Isaac and Ishmael as representatives of the Abrahamic (Grace) and Mosaic (Law) covenants. We learn the importance of trusting in God to take care of us and come through on His promises as well as the dangers of taking things into our own hands.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

Once we are set free from the bondage of sin, are free in Christ. This applies equally to all regardless of who we are in the eyes of the world.

The covenant doesn't depend on you, it all depends on Jesus

Are we saved by grace or by obeying the law? According to Paul we must remember that we were saved by grace. When we try to save ourselves by obeying the law we deny the work of Christ and the Holy Spirit. We deny God His Glory.
