  • Discouraged? Rather Talk To A Plastic Bear… Or Be Introduced To God?

    19/03/2023 Duration: 14min

By Richard Hunt The Belgian government created a campaign to prevent suicides. It features the character Warme William, a big blue friendly-looking bear. His purpose? To alleviate stress and worry - and point people to mental health help. “Something bothering you? Talk about it. Warme William listens.” But he doesn’t. Cute, but mute. But there are two real people ready to listen, empathize, and offer a troubled person life-changing hope and prayer. Don and Pam Lynch are Americans, IMB missionaries in Ghent, Belgium. They have rigged up an electric bike to become a coffee cart. They roll into a park and serve up free cappuccino “so that we can offer conversations” that can eventually point to a reason for hope, a relationship with Jesus Christ.
