Congressman John Carter (R-TX 31st) serves on a number of influential House Appropriations subcommittees dealing with Defense, Commerce, Justice and Science. He is the Chairman of the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee on Appropriations. He also co­-chairs the House Army caucus and participates in the House Republican Steering Committee.
