13/12/2022 Duration: 01h11minWith a couple of weeks left before Ohio State takes on Georgia in the College Football Playoff, there is a lot of activity throughout college football, particularly when it comes to transfer portal news, recruiting, and (of course) awards season. This week’s discussion begins with a little OSU coaching news but then we quickly pivot into a discussion about Ohio State All-American selections, C.J. Stroud’s finish in the Heisman Trophy race, invitations to postseason all-star games, and the like. Marvin Harrison Jr. is getting some much deserved love on the postseason All-America lists even if he was a snub for two trophies — one he should have won and one for which he should have at least been in the conversation, according to one of our hosts. Meanwhile, there’s also some love for Ohio State’s offensive line but not as much as there probably should be for linebacker Tommy Eichenberg. After our conversation about the coaching staff and Buckeye honors, we dove into our walk through the other Big Ten bowl games.

LGHL Uncut: Buckeye Discuss Rutgers Buzzer-Beating Hysteria
09/12/2022 Duration: 29minThroughout the season, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions. Well, if you missed Tanner Holden’s last-second buzzer-beating three-pointer at the Schottenstein Center Thursday night, I apologize. After 39 minutes and 55 seconds of agonizing, back-and-forth battling between two physical Big Ten teams, it was one shot that mattered, and that shot was a blind heave from Holden that won the Buckeyes the game, 67-66. After the game, the man of the hour spoke with the media, as well as Zed Key who set a career-high with 22 points, and head coach Chris Holtmann. The Buckeyes blew an 11-point first-half lead and trailed with five seconds remaining as well, but were able to pull it out right at the horn. Holden spoke first, letting everyone know that he actually couldn’t see the basket when he shot the ball, nor could he see if it went in — he knew when the crowd let him know. Key said it was even crazier than his

In a crowd full of up to 4,000 elementary-aged kids celebrating good school attendance, the Buckeyes played a lethargic first half and record-tying second half in a 92-36 win over the Wildcats. After the game, after the hours of screaming subsided and kids returned to school, head coach Kevin McGuff and forwards Taylor Thierry and Cotie McMahon spoke about the win. Thierry discussed the play of her teammate McMahon, adjustments the players had to make at halftime and how the Buckeyes reacted to the release of Brittney Griner from Russian imprisonment. McMahon went into detail about what it means to play in front of kids, and how it can motivate them to play the game themselves. Also, her thoughts on Thierry's
