We are living in strange and difficult times. The church is being minimalized in our culture and in many cases the church is adapting to the culture around it in a desperate attempt to be relevant. But what we are seeing is God’s Word being fulfilled around us and we should not retreat or surrender. Instead we need to stand strong in the face of persecution and suffering. Join us starting June 4th as we begin a new series on the book of First Peter titled Odd Life, Good God. This study will assist us by affirming our Christian identity, guide us in our relationships within and without the Christian community, with Jesus as our model, and remind us that salvation is future, something to which we zealously look forward. Despite the present challenges of living among people hostile to Christian faith, we have a “living hope".

Join us as we seek to love God, people and become better disciples of our savior Jesus this Sunday at Journey Church. At Journey we offer two in-person services at 9:15am and 11:00am. We also offer livestream broadcast of our first service on our Facebook page and on our website (www.journeyky.church/online) where you can also access previous services and sermons. Don't forget to subscribe to our podcast, where you can catch up on sermons from the previous weeks. Remember that alongside our in-person services we offer incredible programing for kids birth through 5th grade. At Journey Kids we teach Biblical truth, and invite them to move closer to Jesus as they begin to own their faith. If you have a 6th - 12th grade student we hope they can attend Journey Students Sundays upstairs during the 11am Service. Your student will be surrounded by other kids their age who are seeking to live out their faith in todays culture. We look forward to seeing you and your family on Sunday!

Several months ago, we began an effort called The Released Initiative, which was designed to eliminate our mortgage by May 2023, as well as allow us to pursue several other exciting opportunities. As we reach that point, we are going to review what God has done and look forward to the future. We will talk not only what we have been released from, but what we have been released to be free to do.
