This was to be the first Sunday in 10 weeks that we will host in-person services. As we contemplate coming back together, we all will approach things differently. Some can’t wait to physically go to church while others are more wary and not comfortable to attend in-person just yet. We all need to show lots of grace and understanding, regardless of how we personally feel. Lets make this a time of unity and encouragement as we continue on the journey together.

In the process, the incarnate Son of God, Messiah, and true King confronts us with His work on our behalf to offer salvation. It is a difficult story to read, but is real and has a deep meaning for each of our lives. The series will include Good Friday services and will conclude on Easter Sunday with the story of the Resurrection!

Jesus led the most purpose-driven life that has ever been lived. It filled His every thought, and fueled His every step. He often spoke of being "sent." Phrases such as "The Father has sent me" and "Him who sent me," and the deep sense of purpose and mission that entailed, flowed from the lips of Jesus more than 30 times in the gospel of John alone. And then, just before His crucifixion, Jesus delivers these staggering words: “As the Father has sent me, I am sending you” (John 20:21). The very mission and purpose of Jesus, the most significant life that has ever lived, has been passed on: To us. At the start of each year, we often look for something new in our lives. This year we want to start out by recognizing the truth that God is always ready to do something new in our lives: Souls refreshed. Relationships restored. Hearts reborn. God is the author of incredible stories of change and is ready to do the same in our lives as we move together toward Jesus. Join us as we learn how we can open the door to transformation in our series ‘RE’, this January at Journey Church.
