This time, Phil sat down with Karen and Adam from the Staggering Stories podcast to interview Doctor Who Production Designer Michael Pickwoad. In this episode Phil and Paul have another crack at a Target novelisation with The Greatest Show In The Galaxy by Stephen Wyatt. As neither Phil nor Paul are particular fans of McCoys era on TV, they were both afraid that this read would be a struggle. However, as Phil has a soft spot for this story and Paul doesn't it didn't bode well for this review but the pair of them surprised each other when they started talking and they also decide who Peggy Mount could take in a fight. And in a change to the normal schedule, Phil talks to writer Andrew Smith about Doctor Who and most importantly his 10K run in aid of the Lily Foundation, a charity that is very important to him. Phil and Paul return to the Doctors audio adventures and this time they have selected David Tennant's and Catherine Tate's first audio adventure for Big Finish, Technophobia. In a bright and breezy review with no signs of either of them running for the hills at the sight of a microphone, both of our intrepid hosts find a lot to enjoy in this story and comment on whether this captures the essence of New Who and does it also recapture the 10th Doctor and Donna Noble relationship? And in the news, rumour that Bradley Walsh is the new companion (which leads into a thread of "two handers"..... ooer!), RTD gets a lifetime achievement award and in Omega's Tat Corner and item of apparel that will make you stand out at any party!

After what feels like a lifetime, Phil and Paul return once again to their series one retrospective and The Unquiet Dead by Mark Gatiss. In a story that sees the writer, director and cast all on top form, it leads the pair of them to question whether Mark Gatiss output for Doctor Who requires a reappraisal. But they also question whether the alien in this story really deserved to become a villain at the end or whether the Doctors attitude towards the dead was story enough? And in the news this week, Jodie Whittakers reactions to being cast as the Doctor, there's a Doctor Who actor celebrating a centenary, we say goodbye to Victor Pemberton and Hywell Bennett and in Omega's Tat Corner (or Tats Corner as Phil keeps saying!) it's Mr. Men tat.

It's Target time again and this time Phil and Paul have selected the behemoth that is The War Games by Malcom Hulke. So how can a 10 episode TV story translate into a very short book? Well, it appears that Paul and Phil have a difference of opinion on this one with topics such as characters that go nowhere, acting that is distracting, disappointment at the author and whether this book is best read while eating your favourite ice cream. And in the news, the casting of Jodie Whittaker continues to be debated, the title of the Christmas Special is revealed, is Shada getting the animated treatment and the sad passing of Deborah Watling and Trevor Baxter.

This is it folks, the last in this series of Doctor Who and Peter Capaldi's penultimate story before he bows out at Christmas, The Doctor Falls. After the fantastic World Enough and Time, does this story provide a satisfactory conclusion to the final story and the series itself? Well, Paul and Phil certainly wax lyrical about Capaldi, Mackie and Lucas and whether the Master and Missy meeting really added up to much and they also discuss THAT ending and what possibly could happen on Christmas Day? Unfortunately neither Paul nor Phil can find many niceties to say regarding this story featuring the most inept scientific laboratory committed to TV and an endless list of coincidences that neither of them find believable. And Phil really has it in for anyone wearing a beret badly. And in the news, Doctor Who will reach at least series 15 and will be shown in China, the BBC Store is to close, Rachel Talalay is to direct the Christmas Special and there is a truncated Omega's Stats Corner.

This week Steven Moffatt is back on writing duties with Extremis. And as usual, his writing seems to divide fandom so will this happen to Phil and Paul? After 5 weeks of cracking Doctor Who stories, will this story bring all this to an end?
