Welcome to our coverage of ABC's Lost! This week, we begin with a discussion on the story of Lost's creation, followed by our take on the pilot (both halves!). Ross has seen Lost, and Reba hasn't, so tune in regardless of whether you're a dyed-in-the-wool fan, a hater, or a newbie! If you'd like to watch along, your cheapest and easiest option is probably Netflix. It does not appear that Lost is available on Amazon Prime or Hulu Plus, but you can purchase episodes/seasons digitally on Amazon, or purchase the widely-available DVD/blu-ray sets. As usual, I would recommend the disc copies if possible. In the case of Lost, the blu-ray is an especially great option, as the show has some absolutely gorgeous 35 mm cinematography and was set in a particularly beautiful corner of Hawaii. Our epic journey to restore Jay's faith in movies continues! After a success and a failure, Ross chooses to show Jay the 2015 science fiction film, Ex Machina. Will its complicated themes regarding what it means to be human appeal to Jason's interest in big ideas? Or will it fail to register? Find out!
