Solveg was born in Bordeaux, but has lived in Switzerland since he was a child. From an early age he found himself influenced by the sounds of disco, soul and funk, later on as a teenager was influenced by the sounds of Chicago House and techno from Detroit. Nicola-S began Djing and producing music in 1992 in Switzerland and organized many parties in the underground scene. Episode 72 of the Gangstercast is a live recording from Output Club in Brooklyn, orchestrated by the US house duo Cocodrills. Christian "Pridef" Diaz and Adam Cruz pride themselves on creating a unique musical experience, which can only be just that; experienced. When speaking to the guys we asked what house music means to them, they answered “sick beats, positive vibes and just a general way of life”. Jon Cutler is an American house DJ and producer, he’s New York Born and bred, and has lived there all his life. Cutler began DJing at the age of 15, he’s now the owner of the Brooklyn-based electronic label Distant Music, and releases his own 12-inch remixes on the label. He has teamed up with such dance music luminaries and vocalists as DJ Romain, Scott Wozniak, Michael Watford, Jocelyn Brown, E-Man, Kemdi, Vanessa Freeman and others, creating phenomenal original productions for his own imprint. Jon first met Sneak back in 94/95 during his first time playing in Chicago. Both Sneak and Cutler stand by the ethos of reminding house lovers where it all came from; they’ve lived it and have seen it first-hand. Mark Farina is a DJ and producer, known for his Chicago house, acid jazz and downtempo works and recently known also from house compilations, El Divinio. He is primarily identified with the house music scene in San Francisco, California, where he resides, but DJs widely around the world.   Gangstercast 69 bings Farina’s usual or unusual variety of underground chunky funky goodness to new listeners and old heads alike. Gangstercast 65 comes from the highly regarded New York based DJ/producer ‘DBow’    Danny “DBow” Bowman has been a feature on the New York City House scene since the early 90’s and has played alongside some of the figureheads of House music. Filsonik has a history deeply rooted in the iconic world of New York club music and evolved as a DJ / producer out of a rich NYC house community. Born and raised in the Lower East Side, he grew up on hip hop, latin disco, and reggae music. He was schooled from age seven as a classical pianist and as such his influences are both street and formal. His childhood neighbors were John Mateo and Eddie Matos, producers on one of the UK’s foremost deep house labels Glasgow Underground and Joe Claussell’s Spiritual Life Music. His first experience of house music was with them in the early 90’s when they asked him to play sessions keys on one of their early tracks. His career as a producer and DJ took off in 2006 under the umbrella of New York’s veteran house DJ, Timmy Regisford of Club Shelter, a legendary weekly soulful / deep house event that ran for fifteen years.
