Old Style Conjure

There is no limit to the works you can do with the Bible. With the Bible there are verses in there for love, money, protection, reversal, and even justice work. During the show we'll give you a few verses from Scripture and the different ways you can use them in Hoodoo Conjure work. Not only is the Bible full of tricks and works but it also is a powerful book for divination or what some refer to as bibliomancy. This very common practice is rather simple to do as long as you are led by the Spirit. Working with the Bible is central to Hoodoo but there are certain steps you need to take in order to work with your Bible starting with changing how you look at this holy book. First remember if you want to find the works in the Bible you have to read between the lines. Second of all you have to ask God to open your mind and just go with it. With this advice in mind you'll know how to navigate through Scripture to the right verse, root, and work suited to your situation. We'll give you some examples of how to use

We will be discussing "Internet-style" Hoodoo and the differences between that and hands-on old style conjure spiritual work! A lot of people think it's the same but in all honesty the Internet hoodoo that's being taught is the not the real old-timey work that you learn from the elders. A big issue with all these outsiders coming into Conjure is that they have no respect for Conjure work nor the BLACK people whose ancestors brought "roots" to the United States. That's right! Hoodoo is Black People's folk magic but alot of these Internet workers want nothing to do with us, our culture, or history. Conjure is being exploited by folks from outside traditions who want to change it and make it into something it's not.

During our last show at the festival in New Orleans we were so caught up in the magic and mystique of it all that we couldn't give much detail about anything since we were "in a whole nother world."

This bi-weekly show will focus on a few areas for discussion. Dr. Love Bug and I will be discussing Graveyard work, I have strong opinions about folks doing graveyard work this proves to be a hot topic. I don’t think that folks realize what they are really getting into when they dabble with graveyard spirits. I feel like folks think that doing graveyard work is a walk in the park. Graveyard work is dangerous and should never be taken lightly. Another topic that is up for discussion is working with the Intranquil sprit. I know folks don’t know what they are doing by calling on this spirit! You draw what you call unto yourself. When your life goes to the left you want to start yelling I’m jinxed, crossed, my enemies are working on me! You need to look at the work you are doing! Like I said this will be a hot topic.
