WJBR is the home of Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne, interviews, and chat with celebrities, political figures, and indie artists across genres. Sunday Evening Shout! (in The Basement With JaVonne) is a gospel/inspirational/all people affirming show featuring music and chat and interviews. Monday nights at 10 pm Meka Rae hosts the G-Spot and Intimate Realness with Renair. All things intimate are discussed in a healthy, mature fashion. Put the children to bed for that one!

Rain also had a recurring role in the Showtime Series "Rude Awakening" where she portrayed a lesbian drug addict. Rain has also made appearances on various other shows, including talk shows and guest spots in series. She is also a comedian (not surprisingly) as well as a producer and writer. She is an Ambassodor for MS and a  Mother. She is currently starring in the one woman show she wrote and produced, "Fried Chicken and Latkes", and we are blessed to have her as our special guest on Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne.

With that being said, I am absolutely thrilled that we will be joined today by one of my favorite artists the Legendary R&B/POP/Dance artist, Lisa Lisa! Yes, Y'all the beautiful young lady who had us popping and locking in the 80's and 90s with her hit songs featuring the Cult Jam and who showed us all she could do it on her own when she had her solo hit, Skip To My Lu, then starred on a television show. This lovely Latina Lady has shown us that dreams come true if you work hard. What a wonderful birthday treat for me...
