This is the fourth and final session in a series on the Church As A Vineyard. We have talked about the picture of a vineyard running through the Bible as a symbol of God’s blessing and favor, and it’s frequent use by Jesus in teaching about nourishment and fruitfulness in our lives and pointing to a harvest of souls and restored lives to be brought in. Finally we look at how there should also come a time of enjoyment and celebration – the joy of wine. As vineyards are symbolic for a place of blessing and favor, wine is a Biblical symbol for joy. It’s connected to celebration and gladness and received out of God’s hand.

In this series, we are exploring the biblical metaphor of the vineyard. It runs throughout the Bible, both Old and New Testament as a symbol of God’s people and God’s Kingdom. After looking at the conditions for fruitfulness and the process of growth, we are now moving on to the harvest.

We are in a message series called "The Church As A Vineyard", exploring the metaphor of the vineyard which is used throughout the Bible and applying it to the church and to our lives. Last week we explored four conditions for fruitfulness – orientation to the son, fertile soil, the right climate and the slope of the hill. This week we are going to take a step further and look at the process of growth.

We are starting a new series called "The Church as a Vineyard". In this series we look at how throughout the whole Bible the illustration of a vineyard is used to symbolize the people of God, or the Kingdom of God. It is a place of abundance and blessing. And in the coming weeks this picture of the vineyard is going to serve us as a metaphor to discover more about what God is doing or wants to do in and through us. Today we are looking at the first topic: Conditions for fruitfulness.

In this message Alex takes us through the Bible in knowing what to expect when Jesus Christ is born in our lives. It doesn't mean that it is going to be all rosy and cosy suddenly but we should expect a fight! Because the kingdom of God uproots all the other rulers over our life. However, Alex encourages us to remember and believe the promises God spoke over our lives and to insist on our citizens rights to speak the Word of God with boldness.

We are all called to be evangelists, preaching the Gospel words words and actions through personal relationships and structural activities
