3 of our staff members share about what they have learned in this past season, and give us a few areas to seek God in prayer.

God can’t turn your mess into a message if you won’t accept it! We are walking through the story of where we find Nehemiah in this position of accepting the mess. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons gives us ways of how we can make things right in the middle of the mess.

Each year on Labor Day weekend, 10 members of the Vortex staff have the chance to share for 5 minutes about what God is doing in their lives. This year the theme was 'without Christ' and 'In Christ'. Pastor Eric Partin planted Shoreline Church in Destin, FL back in 2005. He serves as one of Vortex Church’s Overseers and is a constant source of wisdom and encouragement to Pastor Kevin and his family. Eric and his wife, Darlene, has a deep passion for reaching unchurched people and a deep love for their city. Eric is a pastor and leader who loves Jesus and people. That is evident in the church and within his family. We’re very excited to have him with us today!

Shaun Olsen is the Lead Pastor of Venture Church in Bluffton, SC. Shaun is a visionary leader that pioneered a church merger in the wake of the COVID Pandemic while his church was homeless, instigated a redesign of the church property, and now Venture Church has grown by over 100% in the past year! We are so blessed to have Shaun with us today!

Jonathan Pearson currently serves as the Teaching Pastor of Springwell Church in Greenville, SC. Jonathan and Pastor Kevin have a friendship that goes back well over a decade. Jonathan was one of the first leaders to believe in the vision of Vortex Church. He has served as one of our Overseers, a board of Pastors from around the country that oversee Pastor Kevin, since we started almost a decade ago. Jonathan is one of the best young leaders in the church today, and we are honored to have him with us to speak!

As we close out our series "Come To The Table" Jen Barker is closing with teaching us how we need to be inviting our neighbors to our table. You might be asking, "Who is my neighbor?" or "How do I love my neighbor?" During this message Jen Barker is answering those two questions for us!

Every family has a table. This is practically true in the sense of having a kitchen table. It is also symbolically true. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is teaching how parents have the job of leading their kids towards something that will sustain, empower and give them purpose.

Who are you inviting to your table? This is an important question to ask because who we have at our table matters. During this message, Maddie Brown is teaching through who we need to be inviting to our table!

Join us as 4 of our Vortex Church leaders share from their heart about lessons God is teaching them in this season. We all know that seasons can be great, but we also know seasons can be challenging. Tonight Lindsey Toole, Jon Mikesell, Amanda Simmons, and Brian Barker, share what they have learned in this past season.

We need real. We need to have real relationships with God, others, and ourselves. The hard thing is that in this world there is a lot of fake. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is teaching through how to choose real over fake.

Worship is response. Through our stories we have the chance to respond to God. During this message, our Worship Pastor Erika Roberts, speaks about how she had to learn discipline in responding to God in moments that were not always easy!

We are created to worship. What we worship matters because if we worship the wrong things, it will cost you some of the best things. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons shows us that we are living echoes of Jesus when we worship God!

We are closing out “Life Hacks” by looking at how to hack your parenting! If you have kids, you know you need some guidance and what better way than to look at what the Bible guides us to do in our parenting!

We all have different kinds of work such as our jobs, marriage work, parent work, housework…you name it! Work is a blessing not a curse. We tend to look at work the other way around. During the message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is showing how to life hack our career by looking through Colossians 3!

Pastor Josh Phillips, Campus Pastor at South Strand Campus for The Rock Church in Myrtle Beach joins us for First Wednesday this month. He shares a powerful message about the parable of the talents in Matthew 25. The question he poses is "what are you going to do with your life"? Are you going to use the talents God has given you, or are you going to waste it?

Marriage is the foundation of family, and family is the foundation of God’s redemptive plan. During this message, Pastor Kevin is teaching through Ephesians 5 and showing us the “life hacks” on marriage!

Attitudes are very important. They are creating your reality in which you live. During this message, Pastor Kevin Simmons is showing us how we can hack our attitudes through the passages of Philippians 1 & 2 in the Bible!
