The Blind Man could see. The religious leaders were blind. What made the paradox work? The Blind Man knew there was more to seeing than what meets the eye.

Jesus doesn't want us to give up our hunger or desire, he just wants our hunger to be satisfied by him.

The official was used to being in control, but now, with his son being sick, he wasn't in control anymore. He needed a miracle. He needed Jesus to Come & Do. But Jesus wants our faith to move beyond Come & Do to Hear & Follow.

Mary tried to use Jesus to make her look good. Either to her relatives. Or just being the mother of the guy who can solve the problem of no wine. But Jesus wants to do something more than making us look good. What is Jesus doing behind the scenes to bring people progressive belief in him?

Why should I give authority to Jesus? Does he even love me? John the Baptist gave us 7 reasons why Jesus should increase and I should decrease. And at the top of that list is the unconditional love of God.

Many people stay on the outside of church because they think they'll always be on the outside. But what did Jesus think about outsiders?

What work did Jesus do? We give authority to people based on who they are and what work do they do. Last week showed us Jesus is the Branding of God. This week we see what work Jesus did.

What is the big deal about Jesus? He lived so long ago. Why should we make a big deal about him today?

The Israelites leave, but Pharaoh chases them. They soon get between a rock and a hard place. But God did this to make the triumph final. Many people get saved, but soon give up. Many give up because they are not prepared for the enemy to come back for them. We can't see a prayer as the end goal. But making disciples who triumph over their sin and slavery. How do we lead people into their final triumph over sin?

God did battle against Pharaoh. A guy who thought and was worshiped as god. A guy whose job was to balance everything in the kingdom. Moses was the person he used to do battle. We're not doing battle against people. But we are still doing battle against gods. People have functional saviors they are trying to balance. And God has sent us to do battle against the gods to free people from their crummy saviors. So what do we need for this battle?

Moses did exactly what God told him to do. And things got worse. Way worse. Pharaoh rejected him. His own people rejected him. The call appeared to die. Confusion reigned and Moses even asked, "Why did you ever send me?" What do we do when the call dies?

The making of a Super Hero is just a bunch of ingredients. You need a catalyst to actually produce a Super Hero on a mission. The call is the catalyst. "But wait!" You may object. "That's only for those paid by a church." No...a call is for all. What does a calling look like?

God is the One who saves, but he makes people with flesh on to be Super Heroes. How will he make you into a Super Hero? Watch the music video of Savin' Me by Nickelback. Christians say that Jesus is the Messiah. Some people will say that Jesus didn't know his identity. Did Jesus know this? Or are Christians just making stuff up?
