Travel Brigade

We’ll take a whirlwind tour around the multicultural, multilingual and very friendly city of Montreal to the Underground City, Mount Royal Park, Olympic Park and Tower, Le Ronde amusement park, jet boating on the Lachine Rapids and the large and beautiful park that makes up the Montreal Botanical Garden. Since the most successful NHL team of all time makes its home in Montreal, we’ll have an interview focused on visiting the Canadiens Hockey Hall of Fame and touring the Bell Centre where the “Habs” play home games. We’ll also talk about the historic Fairmont hotels found in the Quebec province. As always, we’ll have “Hot Topics in Travel” and “He Said, She Said.”

Join the Travel Brigade Radio Show for family fun at the West Edmonton Mall, a place so big, it can be its own family travel destination. We'll hop on the roller coasters at Galaxyland, plunge on the 360-degree-looping Cyclone waterslide at World Waterpark, skate on the ice rink, watch the Sea Lion show and touch sting-rays in the Sea Cavern exhibit. After the children get tired, they can fall asleep in Fantasyland Hotel, located right in the mall, where the themed suites include a choice of beds for kids like an igloo or back of a pick-up truck. This is a place with just about anything and everything under one roof, including shopping and dining during a trip to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The Travel Brigade Radio Show is off to Edmonton, “Canada’s Festival City,” for summer fun at the Folk Festival and Heritage Festival to give you a taste of festivals can be found here all year long. Learn about top family fun activities at Fort Edmonton Park, Jurassic Forest, Prairie Gardens and West Edmonton Mall. We’ll talk with Telus Science Centre about the upcoming Star Wars Identities Exhibition. Find out about fun and interesting ways to learn the history of Edmonton at Old Strathcona and Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village. We’ll also head outdoors for a trip to Elk Island National Park and talk about great places to stay such as Fantasyland Hotel and Fairmont Hotel MacDonald. We'll find out if pandas can tweet in our interview with the San Diego Zoo, speak with SanDiego.org about the many different areas of the city to explore like Gaslamp and Old Town, talk about SeaWorld and Legoland and find out about where to stay and places to eat in the southernmost part of Southern California. Travel Brigade cruises out of Southern California for our episode as we bring you reports from the ports of Los Angeles, San Diego and Long Beach. We'll talk with Disney Cruise Lines about their new Pixar-inspired California Coastal Cruises. We’ll have interviews about things to do before or after a cruise in San Diego and Long Beach, and find out what’s new at the Port of Los Angeles. Join the Travel Brigade for sun, sand and waves in Newport Beach, California. From the beach side to the bay side, from the Fun Zone to the pier, we'll take you up and down the Balboa Peninsula and talk about what you can do to celebrate the 4th of July. We'll have interviews with locals to find out about all of the activities in a town that's full of fun, but also tradition. We'll also talk with a rental company about renting a beach house, find out how your kids can learn to surf and discuss one of the great shopping meccas of the U.S. - Fashion Island. We'll also discuss why it is that the residents of Montreal, who are always bilingual and often trilingual, are so friendly.
