Bible In A Year

In this recap at the end of week 46 we look forward to the book of the 'Acts of the Apostles' and see what this book will teach us, but we also think about the central theme, and climatic point of the whole Bible - the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. So much has happened these last two weeks but this event changes everything for everyone.

In these two weeks we have been reading through the Gospels which tell us of the life and works of Jesus who is called the Christ. Many of these works have been miraculous and wonderful in nature, and in this recap we are going to look at one specifically, from Mark Ch8 verses 22-26. Solomon's first task is to build a temple for God, something that his father David wished to do but was not chosen to do by God. We also see the new King Solomon show the gift of wisdom in a dispute between two prostitutes and a dead child.

It's all right there to read, with no story covered up. This is what we need to recapture in the Christian Faith; the reality of what it says, the reality of what it speaks of and in to.

We also see the benefits of the chronological version of the audio Bible in a year as the Psalms intertwine with the story of David. Hopefully this will help deepen your understanding of who Jesus is and what He did for you. This message finishes by reading through several portions of the New Testament to affirm His claims and acts. Praying you celebrate well over Easter, the tomb is empty, Jesus is alive!
