Thursday, 3rd Week of Easter (C). Some people say they don't need anyone to mediate their faith: it's between them and God. Really?

Third Sunday of Easter (C). Rachel Joy Scott, the first high school student to be killed at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999, issued a challenge to her classmates about living with trust and compassion. We are issued this same challenge by Jesus to live as an Easter people, even in the midst of tragedy in the world that surrounds us. This week we are treated to the powerful resurrection appearances of Jesus where his goal is to prove to his disciples that he's not a ghost or a spirit, but "the real thing."
