Indian artist revives Bundelkhand’s centuries-old mask-making tradition -
09/04/2026 Duration: 09minTraditional masks from Jalaun in Bundelkhand, once handmade for centuries using local materials, were fading due to rising costs and declining interest. Artist Rohit Vinayak revived this art by giving it a modern touch, adding calligraphy, new colors, sketches, and Chiteri art, making the masks more attractive and durable, and bringing the tradition back to life.
