On this edition of DEMA Live, PSP Resume Writing Expert, Donna Shannon of The Personal Touch Career Services will join the show.  As awareness of this industry increases more people have shown interest in entering it.  Donna Shannon will talk about ways that every person in the private service industry can improve their resumes.  She will also discuss how the private service resume differs from the corporate resume.

After the success of last week’s show with Katy Carter of Allied Marine the time was right for a DEMA Live PSP Corner.  We reached out to DEMA Chapter President Kerry Lyons to come on the show and explain how she has been able to make the transition from crew to staff.  Join this week's DEMA Live at a special time and learn how closely related the two industry's are.

On this episode of DEMA Live will tackle the issue of working a Live-In or Live-Out position from the perspective of a Private Service Professional.  For years the industry has struggled with which position has the better benefits. Is it easier to work a postion where you can leave at the end of the day or to have the ability of having a place to stay where your work?  Can you ask for higher pay with either of the positions?  Is it healthier to seperate business from your private life?  There are several positives and negatives, all which will be discussed on DEMA Live.

DEMA has expanded overseas to London and Monaco.  This expansion of the association  has created new relationships and resources that we can now offer to our membership.  One of those relationships built while in London was with the Chief Editor  of Estate and Manor, Andrew Tilston. Estate & Manor is an online magazine portal which is dedicated to global private staffing and luxury lifestyle services. Estate & Manor offers readers a glorious insight into the  world of working with affluent individuals – All of our contributors are known for their  expertise and knowledge. These domestic staff areas consist of: Estate Management,  Lifestyle Management, Yacht and Jet Crew, Childcare and Education plus many, many more. In this episode of DEMA Live we will discuss with Andrew, the vision of Estate & Manor and where he sees the Private Service Industry in the future.  We will also talk about the  impact that online social media and job boards have had on the private service industry.

DEMA Live will be joined by Emploment Attorney Rachel Kurth.  Ms. Kurth will be one of the speakers presenting at this year's 2016 Management Conference in New York at the end of April.  In this edition of DEMA Live Rachel will be talking about some of the most important legal issues as they pertain to the legal side of staff employment.  

DEMA has already had a huge impact on several Private Service Professionals throughout the world.  In this edition of DEMA Live learn how the 2015 DEMA PSP of the Year, Gary Cockerham has utilized DEMA to benefit not only himself but the Principals that has worked for. Gary will be discussing the importance that DEMA networking, DEMA Conventions and Conferences, and continuing education through meetings, have helped him not only land his dream job but also lay the ground work to become an integral part of his families that he works with.  He will discuss the transition of his career through DEMA as he went from being the founding DEMA Chapter President in Orlando, to Chapter President in Palm Beach, and finally ending up in Scottsdale where he is currently Chapter President of the Scottsdale DEMA Chapter.

This week on DEMA Live we will have a discussion regarding the Child Care aspect of the Private Service World.  We will be joined by Tonya Sakowicz who will fill us in on some of the latest trends going on in the world of childcare.  One of the newest trends is a creation of a new position called, a Newborn Care Specialist.  This position is something that you need to be certified in and can lead to more opportunity as it pertains to the Nanny Industry.   Tonya will help break down the different roles that each position has, as well as share some of the tips of the trade that she has developed over her 29 years career as a Nanny and Newborn Care Specialist.  Who doesn't like to talk babies?  So join us and help us continue to educate the Private Service Industry.
