Genesis chapter 22 deals with the sacrifice of Issac. God asks Abraham to sacrifice his only son. Not only did Abraham do as God asked, he did it the next day. God stopped him before the sacrifice happened.

Our Heavenly Father is actively pursuing us. He wants us to come home; home to him.

Isaac is born to Abraham and Sarah. Abraham sends Hagar and Ishmael away and God protects them as he promised. Abraham makes a treaty with Abimelech.

It is Christmas time. We are all preparing to celebrate the birth of our Savior. For a lot of us this means going home. God wants us to come home too.

Today we wrap up our series of the 7 Deadly Sins with a look at envy. Where does envy offer and how do you avoid and over come it

God destroys Sodom. Lot's daughters conspire to have a family through their father. Abraham journeys to Negeb and lies once again about Sarah being his sister

Abram is given a new name by God, Abraham. God establishes his covent with Abraham the sign of which is circumcision. God promises that Issac will be born to Sarah and Abraham within the year. The Lord appears to Abraham and then goes to destroy Sodom. Abraham intercedes for Sodom. The men of Sodom are struck blind by God.

Anger in and of itself is not a sin. God get angry. Jesus got angry. It is how we react to our anger that is sinful. So how do we defuse our anger so it is not a sin?

God establishes a covenant with Abram. Sarai does not trust in the Lord and becomes impatient for offspring so she give her servant Hagar to Abram to conceive. When Hagar does conceive there is contempt between Sarai and Hagar. Hagar is treated harshly and flees. God sends Hagar back to Sarai with the promise that her son will have a multitude of offspring.

What is Sloth? Not the cute slow animal. Another word for sloth could be Procrastination. Today we look at the causes, cost and cure for putting off until tomorrow.

Abram and Sarai go to Egypt because of a famine. Abram lies to Pharaoh about Sarai. God brings great plagues on the house of Pharaoh. Abram and family leave Egypt. Abram and Lot separate. Great war breaks out and Lot is take. Abram rescues Lot. Abram and Lot separate

Today we talk about the sin no one want to talk about. Lust. How do we overcome the desires?

After the flood Noah worked the land and grew grapes. From the grapes he made wine and one night he drank too much. This lead to he descendants of Ham being cursed. From Noah's line many nations were created. When men wanted to build a tower to reach the Heavens, God confused their language so the tower could not be finished. Then we follow Shems line to Abram.

Greed is the sin today. Why do we always want more? God tells us to store up treasures in Heaven and not on earth. Here are two misconceptions on greed and 2 ways to enjoy life more on less.

God has Noah bring the animal into the ark. The flood waters come, from both the heavens and from the earth. All living creatures not on the ark die. The mountains are covered. Noah sends out the raven, waters recede. Noah sends out the dove. Olive branch is brought back. Second dove is sent out and does not return. God establishes a covenant with man and the Rainbow is the sign of the covenant.

What is gluttony? It is a word not used much these days and most associate it with food. Another word that can be used here is addiction. How dow we break free from our bad habits? Here are 5 biblical principles that can help us do just that.
