Cats Talk Wednesday

We're not huge into recruiting as y'all know but big recruiting news just went down for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats basketball program. So you know we have to talk about Tyrese Maxey. The NBA Playoffs are almost down to the final four as the Boston Celtics look to join the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors in an attempt to be playing in June. Former UK Baseball players were in the news last night and the Baltimore Orioles wish they weren't. At 6:30 Jen Morrison will join us to review the Kentucky Derby and preview the Preakness. Can Justify keep it going?

Huge, special show this evening. At 6:30 we'll do our first ever Cross Over show with Coach Josh Hurt and The Stock Tony of the KY Sports Guys! They joined us on the show a few months ago at the conclusion of their show. It's always hard to get together with them because we're always on the air at the same time so we all figured why not just take an evening and collaborate for a few minutes and join each other's shows so that's what we're doing! In hour 2 fellow Kentuckian and R&B/Soul singer-songwriter L. Young will stop by. We were honored to have him on a while back as well. His new album, Wrinkles In Time, just came out and we can't wait to talk with him about it! We'll also talk lots of UK sports, NBA Playoffs, Kentucky Derby and much more! Y'all know how we do!

Tonight we'll talk about Quade Green's return and the Kentucky Wildcats basketball roster as it continues to materialize. We'll look at UK baseball and softball too. At 6:30 we'll look at the Blue White Spring Game and talk some Kentucky football with Asim Rose, Sr, father of UK running back A.J. Rose. TB was at The Catspys at Memorial Coliseum Monday night for all of the fanfare and festivities, gotta talk about that! The Process is paying dividends ;in Philadelphia, we'll talk lots of NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft too!

We'll continue with our Kentucky basketball roster convo. We'll talk about what baseball and softball are doing as well as the NBA Playoffs. Lots of former Cats to keep up with in lots of different series in the first round. At 6:30 our guy Craig Bates will join us to educate us on the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the expansion squad in Sin City. An era ended in the NFL. Tonight we dive into the latest additions and subtractions for the Kentucky Wildcats basketball roster for 2018-19. The NBA season comes to a close with Karl-Anthony Towns and Jamal Murray battling for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference when the Denver Nuggets square off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. At 6:30 we'll talk UK football, Friday's Spring Game and more with former UK DB Van Hiles. At 7:15 Edward Perez, a Big Blue fan out in Cali, joins us to talk about the L.A. Angels and Shohei Ohtani.

The Villanova Wildcats were too much for the Michigan Wolverines Monday night as they brought the college basketball season to an end with their second title game win in three seasons. We'll reflect back on both the men's and women's Final Fours and also settle some miscellaneous bracket discussion to bring March Madness to a close. At 6:30 Fred Owens of tomahawk.com will stop by to talk some Atlanta Braves baseball with us. At 7:15 Mike Bossetti of raptorsrapture.com will join us to talk about the Toronto Raptors.

Tonight we put a bow on the Kentucky Wildcats 2017-18 basketball season. TB kept the roads hot the last couple of weeks. We'll get his perspective on Boise to Atlanta and the whirlwind that it was and touch on the loss to Kansas State in the Sweet Sixteen. Kentucky baseball and softball are both in full swing. We'll look at what they are both doing as well. Kentucky's in state rival has a new coach, Duke loses a top assistant coach. How do these moves affect the Cats? How will the next wave of UK players do in the McDonald's All American game? What should the Giants do with OBJ? Final regular season games for the NBA. Who will win amongst the four teams left in the Final Four?

At 6:30 Eddie Creech, head coach of the Harlan County Black Bears will join us to look back at last year's Regional Championship season and his trip to the Boy's Basketball Sweet Sixteen and maybe a lil Cal/Cats too! What four game losing streak? The Kentucky Wildcats have now put together three straight wins by double digits and look better now than they have at any point in the season. We're coming to y'all on a game night vs the Ole Miss Rebels. The kentucky Wildcats shook off a sluggish start and took the Arkansas Razorbacks behind the woodshed last night in Bud Walton Arena. They have now put together a two-game winning streak after dropping their previous four games. Louisville and Rick Pitino have been in the news for the past couple of days, we'll definitely get to all of that. At 7:00 our first guest will join us. It's that time again. We will look back at the Kentucky Wildcats three game skid and of course ahead to tonight's game on the Plains against the Auburn Tigers. Will they be able to right the ship in a tough hostile environment? Gonna be tough. NBA All Star Weekend is right around the corner, this weekend actually. Gotta talk about that. We'll look at Kentucky's unbelievable comeback win over the No. 7 West Virginia in Morgantown on Saturday night and talk about how they followed it up with the improbable come from behind effort against the Vanderbilt Commodores last night! We'll start with a guest right off the top though. Times Picayune Pelicans beat writer Will Guillory is set to join us at the start of the show to talk about the unfortunate injury to DeMarcus Cousins, The Brow, Darius, Rondo and more NBA discussion. At 6:45 Washington Post blogger Scott Allen will stop by to talk about the Super Bowl and how fans of NFC East teams outside of Philly should handle the big game. At 7:15 Media Analyst, The Starting Five co-founder and friend of the show, Michael Tillery will join us to talk Sixers, Eagles, Super Bowl and more! Gonna be so fun!

There are so many topics to talk about this evening as always. We'll have to start with the heartbreaking tragedy in Marshall County and the tough time that they are going through. We'll also look back at the Kentucky Wildcats 78-65 victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs and preview their road trip to Morgantown to face the West Virginia Mountaineers. We'll hit on all the goings on in the NBA including shocking dismissals, All Star news and notes etc. The Super Bowl is set, we'll get into that today as well as next week.

We'll look back at last weekend's game as the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores and last night disappointing loss to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Of course we'll mention this weekend's matchup, College Game Day and all as the Florida Gators visit Rupp Arena Saturday night. Kentucky Cheer is closing in on the quarter century mark. They won their mind boggling 23rd National Championship, many congrats are in order for them. At 6:30 we'll be honored to talk some UK baseball with the head man himself Coach Nick Mingione, looking forward to that. Of course we'll also talk about the wild NFL Playoffs and work in some NBA!

We look at the loss to the Tennessee Volunteers, the W over the Tesas A & M Aggies and ahead to Saturday in Nashville vs the Vanderbilt Commodores. PJ Washington got some company last night and it was good to see. We hope that Coach Mitchell and the UK women can also get a much needed win. At 6:20 we'll Alabama Crimson Tide football with Meredith Hornsby of bamahammer.com. We'll look at the NFL Playoffs Wild Card Weekend and ahead to the Divisional Round as well

So many topics so little time. We'll of course look back at the Kentucky Wildcats decisive win over the Louisville Cardinals and their grind it out W over the Georgia Bulldogs and tonight's game against the LSU Tigers.  We have to sift through the craziness of the Music City Bowl in Nashville as the Cats came up just short against the Northwestern Wildcats and the wierd ejection of UK running back Benny Snell.  Drew Barker and Bryant Koback announced that they are transferring today. All that and much more tonight!!

Things didn't go according to plan down in New Orleans for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats, they couldn't quite get over the hump versus the UCLA Bruins. Now it's time to focus all energies toward the Louisville Cardinals as they come to Rupp Arena for an odd Friday 1:00 P.M. tipoff. All of BBN anxiously awaits to see just how they respond and bounce back in the biggest game of the season. We'll also talk about the Music City Bowl as the football Cats get set for Northwestern minus Denzil Ware plus our guest, Harlan Co. football Eddie Creech will stop by at 6:30!
