The Sharks would start the game late per usual, the Senators would score twice before the Sharks would answer back occuring in the back half of the 1st. Vlassic and Labanc would score in the second giving the Sharks a short lived lead. Eventually the Sharks would succumb to the flood of shots (22 in total in the 2nd) allowing 2 goals trailing 4-3 heading into intermission.
