(There will also be offline voting available for those that missed the stream, but it will all take place on the YouTube Channel. The winner will be announced on the live stream Thursday, May 28th.  EAR TO THE GROUND  First up, in today's ear to the ground we're going to cover the IR packs being released by the guys over at Worship Tutorials.  One common problem you run into when playing an acoustic live as a DI source is the horrible representation of sound that the DI produces. • HSS Episode 047-The McGurk Effect

    23/03/2020 Duration: 18min

ANNOUNCMENTS Recent live stream success - HSS Live-Artist Spotlights 006 https://youtu.be/GPT-_TGlt84   EAR TO THE GROUND 1 New music is no longer a thing, thanks to a pair of lawyers who created an algorithm to write every single musical melody that can possibly exist. Rather than claiming all music as their personal property, however, the duo have released their entire catalog of tunes into the public domain, in the hope that this will bring an end to copyright lawsuits.   Lawyer, musician, and programmer Damien Riehl came up with the idea after realizing that all singer-songwriters are essentially walking on a “melodic minefield”, because there are only a finite number of melodies that can exist. As such, with each new song that gets written, the chances of creating something genuinely unique decreases, and the possibility of writing a melody that has already been recorded by someone else increases.   In a recent Tedx Talk, Riehl explains that this wouldn’t be a problem if it weren’t for the ridiculo

The manager would then arrange studio time and hire a producer who would then oversee the production of the project and work closely alongside the recording engineer and the mix engineer to see that the vision of their clients band was held in highest priority and sounded it’s best.   Duri

  • HSS Episode 041-Mentorship

    26/01/2018 Duration: 29min

Home Studio Simplified   After a long hiatus I'm back. I assure you I did not want to go, but necessity called and I had to answer. It's this little thing called priorities and responsibility. Aside from family responsibilities, church needs, and job/schedule changes there comes a time when one has to realize that their dreams must at time be put on the back burner so that the dreams that are bigger than they are can develop. I have found to, that in order for your dreams to gain momentum, or forward motion of any kind, there must be a yearning within to see the dreams of others come to fruition as well.   No man is an island and we all have areas of expertise that can help the next guy. By doing so, we in turn gain experience and a sense of accomplishment that cannot be felt and internalized by merely climbing the mountain alone.    Can it be done? Can one really climb to the top all on their own? Yes! But, what if when you reach the top you have no one to share in your victories, or worse yet, to help you t

However, I continue to do so with the hope that someone out there may find something that is said or done informative and useful.  I will admit that there have been times I've been wrong, there have been times that I have not covered thing
