In another keynote from the Storage Summit in APJ, Phil Davis the VP of HPE Storage gave a great keynote discussing change, transformation, and harnessing IT. The was a really good keynote and I can see why Phil was promoted to SVP of Enterprise Group (effective November 1).

At VMworld, I had a discussion with former 3PAR customer now turned consultant Frederic Van Haren. We talked about the state of object storage and CapEx vs OPex. Frederic has an interesting background and the discussion has a lot of good insights.
