Jesus loves righteousness. He also hates sin. God has anointed Jesus as our High Priest.

Jesus is the firstborn of God on the earth. He is 100% God and 100% man. He is our Mediator. Angels are different. They are spirits.

Jesus is the Son of God. This makes Him different than the angels or any other spirit being.

Jesus is different than the angels. He is God. His name is higher than anything name an angel has. His name is our access to His authority.

When Jesus shed His blood He purified us from sin. Then He sat down in the place of authority and remains there for eternity.

Jesus reflex God glory in His life and in His speech. He is the exact nature of God in His life and in His speech.

God speaks to us at this time through Jesus. Jesus is the owner, heir of the things. He is Lord. He also created the times and seasons. Jesus is in control.

A long time ago God spoke to Israel through prophets. He spoke in various ways and at different times through these prophets.

This is a brief introduction into the wonderful book of Hebrews. Who is the author, when was it written and what is the theme of Hebrews.

Paul list five men that are with him. Epaphras was the man God used to start the church in Philemon's town. The grace of God is needed to restore relationships.

Paul has encouragement that Philemon will obey him. They have a wonderful relationship. Paul also knows that Philemon will do more than what was asked.

Paul is looking for two things. First to benefit from his partner. Partnership is a two way street. Both parties should benefit. Paul will find rest in this restored relationship.

Paul, the peacemaker offers to pay what Onesimus owes and to cover the harm that he had caused. This is the price of a peacemaker. Paul made a contract to do it.

Partnership is a special relationship in the Body of Christ. It is associating and helping them to achieve each others ministry. Paul, Philemon and Onesimus were partners together.

God's plan was for Onesimus to become a believer. Onesimus is not only a slave but a brother to Philemon. That changes everything.

A person can be commanded to restore relationships but when it comes first from the heart it is more effective.

Paul is sacrificing the help that Onesimus was to him by seeking sending him back to Philemon. Restoration in relationships costs the peacemaker greatly.

Onesimus was in the heart of Paul. Paul is sending part of his heart to gain restoration in this relationship.

Onesimus is not useless anymore because He has become a believer. When he sinned and rebelled he was useless to Philemon but now he is useful.

Paul mentions Onesimus. The relationship between Philemon and Onesimus needs to be restored. Onesimus' salvation is the bases for the restoration.
