In this temporary house we groan, not in despair but in hope of our eternal dwelling.

Paul talks about three different dwelling places. The first is a temporary place that he calls it a tent. The second is building built by God and third is a house that is eternal.

Our mortal man is decaying but our inward man is renewed day by day. The afflictions that we go through are producing an immeasurable amount of glory in us!

The spirit of faith gives us a knowledge that we will be raised to be with Jesus and that we will be present to Him.

What is the spirit of faith? What does it do? Because we believe we speak.

Paul tells us why he continues on. So that the life of Jesus could be manifested in us.

The treasure inside of us causes us to not be crushed, to not despair, to not be forsaken, and not be destroyed.

We have a treasure in our earthly bodies that is so valuable. It is the light, glory and power of God!

The glory of God shines in our heart. It is the same light or glory that spoke into existence in Genesis 1:3 He glory shows us Jesus.

Paul preached that Jesus is Lord. Paul tells the Corinthians about his ministry so they would know he was a follower of Jesus. He was also their bond-servant.

Paul tells us that the god of this world veils or hides peoples minds from the truth about Jesus. Repentance or a change of minds is needed to see Jesus.

In this verse Paul talks about man's responsibility. We must renounce the things hidden in shame, not walking in craftiness and the adulterating of the word of God.

Paul has received the mercy of God. Because of this he does not lose heart. When we neglect the mercy of God we will lose heart.

When the law is read it a veil covers our heart but when we receive Jesus that veil is lifted and we are transformed into the image of Christ.

Knowing that the glory of God is in us causes us to hope. Hope than brings boldness to speak. Our glory is not fading away but us resident in us forever! The veil that separated us is gone!

The glory of the letter fades but the glory that we have in us as believers never fades. God's glory is His presence.

The letter kills us. But that is needed for us to see our need of Jesus. The Spirit gives us life.

We can do nothing in ourselves but we can do everything God asks us to do in Christ.

The Corinthians were not only a letter of commendation for Paul but also for Christ. When a person sees your life, does it say that Jesus is real?
