Our culture loves the idea of connecting with people. We connect in person, on the phone, through the Internet. But what does it mean to connect with God? How important is it in regards to the other aspects of life? Today we discuss connecting to God, ways to do it, and what we can expect when we are connected to Him.

When Jesus talks about the vine and branches and bearing fruit, what is He really getting at? How does our relationship with Jesus come into play with that, and what is He talking about (concerning people) when He mentions pruning? Today we dig into His words to look for answers to those questions and try to understand how we can have not only fruitful lives but also produce the best kind of fruit.

What comes to mind when you think of a kingdom? How about when you think of Jesus? How many of us see Jesus as a king? Today we investigate what it means that Jesus is the king of the kingdom of God and how that impacts our lives.

Jesus talked a lot about the kingdom of God. Why is that, what did He envision the kingdom of God to be like, how was it different from what people were expecting, and how does Jesus and the church factor into it? Today we tackle those questions as we uncover some of the things Jesus had to say about the kingdom of God.

Did you know there are several "silent killers" that often threaten healthy communities? If there are silent killers, what are they and how do we recognize and attack them? Today we focus on identifying and attacking a couple of the most common silent community killers.

When you hear the word church, what image comes to mind? If you're like most people, you probably envision a building with a cross on top. But actually, when Jesus spoke about church, he wasn't creating a new word that had to do with a building. This week we explore the original intent and purpose of the church and how we can move towards that together.

How do other people factor into my relationship with God? Does meeting together in smaller groups actually matter to God? Today we look at the original church to help us explore those questions. We gain a better picture of what a church community is meant to be like and how we can become the church God intends us to be.

How do you think God feels towards you? How does Jesus and His life factor into that? Did you know God isn't focused on scrutinizing your past? He's much more concerned about your future. Today we look at how Jesus interacted with people in the past, changing their lives forever, and how He connects with us today, changing lives just the same.

When we experience God, how does that change us? How do beliefs affect actions? When we consider doing something out of faith, how do we shift from thinking, "What if God doesn't do anything?" to "What if He does?" Today we look at a person whose beliefs about God definitely impacted how he lived.

Many times God takes us on a journey when we come up against topics about which we feel uncertain or conflicted. Today might start one of those journeys for you. Today we look at sex in our culture and how God responds to specific scenarios at the forefront today.

What does the Bible have to say about sex in marriages? Does it REALLY talk about sex? Today, we look at responses to questions people had regarding sex in a very sexually charged city and how that practically ties into marriages today.

So how DOES God view sex? After all, God invented sex and told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. Today we not only explore three very pivotal factors when it comes to understanding God's view of sex but we also look at God's response to us when we struggle or have regrets in this area.

Many people want to move forward in their life. Oftentimes they misdiagnose the problem and don't realize the ball is in their court. How do we get out of the status quo, out of just going through the motions? Today we delve into a very important topic to help us to move forward in our relationship with God.

What are we supposed to do when our difficult circumstances don't change? Whether job-related, personal, or some other realm, prolonged subjection to something like that can be grueling. Today we explore how God responded to someone who faced a similar situation and how He responds to us today.

What does it look like to connect with God? What is that experience like? Today we hear some of what God has been doing the last couple of weeks through worship - how a wide variety of people have been experiencing Him - and then set aside some time to do just that.

There's something intimate about using your own words to relate to someone you love. So how can we use our own words to communicate with God and bless His heart? We highly recommend setting aside some time during this podcast to think over some questions and respond to God, using your own words.

Did you ever wonder what motivates some people to raise their hands or bounce around at church during the worship music? Does everyone else always just feel happy and close to God when they sing? What kind of worship does God want? Today, we explore these questions, among other things, as we look into drawing close to God in worship.

Would a husband or wife know their spouse well if they didn't listen their words? Not really. The same is true with God. This week we explore how God makes Himself known to us through His Word.
