  • LAB-349-Importance of Motorcycle Lighting | New Ciro Products

    27/10/2023 Duration: 01h45min

In this episode, we discuss the importance of motorcycle lighting and being seen.  According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), motorcyclists who are conspicuous are under-represented in crashes. A common complaint of street riders is that other motorists fail to observe them. Motorists who violate motorcyclists’ right-of-way frequently state, “I didn’t see him,” or “He came out of nowhere”.  A variety of recognized tactics exists to make motorcycles and their riders more conspicuous: lighting, surface color and size, and rider traffic strategy.  Using the high beam of a motorcycle’s headlight during the day also helps to prevent violations of the motorcyclist’s right-of-way, SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE Headlight modulators, which cause the light to alternate between a higher and a lower intensity during the day, also increase conspicuity.  Many modern street bikes are equipped with position running lamps in their front and/or rear turn signals. 20/10/2023 Duration: 01h47min

Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com Did you buy a new Harley-Davidson and want to know if you should use a Vance and Hines FP4 tuner or a Screamin' Eagle Pro Street tuner?  Well, you are in luck.  We recently installed Harley-Davidson Screamin' Eagle stage 1 intakes, exhausts, and Pro Street Tuners on two police Electra Glides for a local police agency.  Before I get into the tuner debate, let me tell you what Harley-Davidson intake and exhaust were chosen.  The agency decided to go with all Harley-Davidson parts.  They went with the Screamin’ Eagle Ventilator Air Cleaner Kit and the Screamin' Eagle High-Flow Exhaust System with Street Cannon Mufflers. The exhaust headers are made of stainless steel and are much lighter than the stock headers.  The difference in weight is very noticeable.  The heat shields attach to mounts that are secured to the headers with the typical hose clamp with a bolt through the heat shield.  While the resulting look isn't as clean the installation is much easier.   SU

We were fortunate enough to purchase a building in Union Gap, WA that is right on Main Street.  It's a great location for several reasons; it's centrally located between my house and Lurch's house, it has quick freeway access, and it's near shipping companies.  The address for the Law Abiding Biker Store is 3302 Main Street, Union Gap, WA 98903. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this episode, I'm joined by Lurch and we talk about my recent ride and review of the 2023 Indian Pursuit.  I give you an honest real-world review of it.  After a long wait, Indian finally set me a bike to review.  Most reviewers only ride bikes for a short time.  We took the Indian Pursuit on a weekend trip and put several hundred miles on it.  After all, the Indian Pursuit is a touring bike and the only way to truly test it is to tour with it.  My honest review will hopefully provide you with the information you need to decide if the Indian Pursuit is the bike for you.    SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE The Indian Pursuit is equipped with the PowerPlus liquid-cooled 108 ci engine. This engine was amazing as far as power and performance are concerned. This is a 1768 cc engine and it produces 122 HP and 129 ft lbs torque at 3800 RPM. I found this motor definitely comes alive at 3800 RPM and above. There is plenty of passing power

After riding the new Wilber's suspension on many different road surfaces, I can highly recommend this suspension and we decided to carry it right in the Law Abiding Biker Store. In this video, I give you my opinions about Wilber's suspension for Harley and compare it to several other name-brand aftermarket suspensions that I've tested over the years.  WHY WE CHANGED THIS HARLEY SUSPENSION: The owner was not happy with the overall ride of this 2021 CVO, which came with the standard manually adjustable rear shocks that Harley has used for many years now on its touring models.  He wanted a smoother ride and better cornering abilities, all of which the Wilbers LDC Nivomat front and rear suspension provides!  SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE REVIEW/THOUGHTS: We were absolutely blown away at how much smoother this Harley CVO Ultra rode and corne

  • LAB-337-AIM Lightforce Hydraulic Clutch Slave Cylinder | Is It Worth It?

    31/05/2023 Duration: 01h28min

Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this episode, we discuss the AIM Lightforce Slave Cylider for the hydraulic clutch on your Harley-Davidson.  Both cable and hydraulic clutches can be effective on Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and the choice between the two often comes down to personal preference and riding style.  Cable clutches are typically easier to adjust, and they are generally less expensive to repair or replace. They also tend to offer more feedback to the rider, which can be beneficial for those who prefer a more tactile connection with the motorcycle. SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE On the other hand, hydraulic clutches offer a smoother and more consistent feel, which can be advantageous for riders who want a more refined and precise riding experience. Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com In this podcast, I'm joined by Lurch and we discuss and review the complete Harley-Davidson Audio Powered by Rockford Fosgate system we installed on a 2015 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Special.  The system consisted of two amplifiers, fairing speakers, saddlebag lid speakers, and two 10-inch subwoofers.  We discuss the pros and potential cons of this system so you can decide if it, or part of it, is for you. The first thing to note is we tested the system with a decibel meter and it hit at and above the level of other premium systems we installed in the past.  Keep in mind that motorcycle audio differs greatly from car audio.  In a car, you're in an enclosed space with the speakers.  On a motorcycle, the audio is going out to your environment, and at higher speeds, you're leaving the sound of rear speakers behind you.  With that said the saddlebag lid speakers are designed so the speakers are pointed at the rider which may help a bit at highway speeds.   SUPPORT

  • LAB-333-Can The Indian Sport Chief Compete With Harley’s Low Rider S?

    18/04/2023 Duration: 01h34min

Official Website: www.lawabidingbiker.com I saw that Indian came out with the 2023 Sport Chief and I said to myself, “Hey, Indian made a Harley Low Rider S”.  Well, it’s clearly their answer to compete with Harley in that category of bike anyways.  I had to take a deep look at this bike and break it down for you and give you my thoughts.  How does the Indian Sport Chief match up to the Harley Low Rider S? I really needed to know. I’ve seen some trying to compare the Sport Chief to the Harley Low Rider ST and I wholeheartedly disagree. I test-rode and reviewed the Low Rider ST last year in Santa Barbara, CA and it’s more in the category of sport touring. It has a very large fairing and windshield, an available dash stereo system with speakers, and hard saddlebags. The Sport Chief is more in the category of a sport cruiser with a very small fairing and windshield, no in-dash stereo system or speakers, and no hard saddlebags, just like the Lowrider S. 16/03/2023 Duration: 01h29min

Official Website: https://www.lawabidingbiker.com Do you have engine oil in your Harley air filter?  Is it a problem or is it normal?  In this episode, I am joined by Lurch and Oscar.  Harley-Davidson vents engine pressure through banjo bolts that hold the air intake on.  There are tubes on the end of the banjo bolts.  The tubes are directed into the intake/filter area.  When pressure builds up and oil passes through the bolts/tubes it dumps into the filter and/or is sucked into the engine through the intake.  If an excess of oil builds up in your Harley air filter it can leak out and get all over your bike.   SUPPORT US AND SHOP IN THE OFFICIAL LAW ABIDING BIKER STORE We discuss how oil ends up in your Harley air filter.  The three of us share our opinions and have some fun along the way.  We break down the issue of oil blowback; what it is and what causes it.  We also discuss stock air intakes and aftermarket intakes.  Some of the aftermarket intakes already have external breather bolts and catch cans.  Som
