If relationships are to survive, we are to adopt the attitude of God, who in Christ forgave us for our sins. Thus, we are to be quick to forgive others--and not just forgive, but forget. The Christian attitude in a relationship is not to be “what can I get out of it?” but rather, “What can I give to it?” This means supporting and lifting up the other person in whatever way we can; we are to be the biggest “champion” of the other in a relationship, seeking to serve them. We work towards solutions on the things we can solve, and we learn to endure through the situations we cannot solve.
