We're kicking off a new series in the Pastoral letters of St. Paul to Timothy, called “Peace & Quiet,” where we are going to consider how the Gospel subverts the American Dream. Timothy was pastoring a first-century church, in the shadow of the Roman Empire and its culture, which had its way of doing things, its version of “peace & quiet” which came in sharp contrast to what Paul was writing to Timothy. This week in our series, To Be A Disciple, a Journey in Luke, Jesus teaches his disciples to pray.

Galatians is the Christian Declaration of Independence. It tells us the meaning of true freedom - liberation from sin, death, and the devil - and what it is for. In Galatians 6, Paul tells us that we have been liberated to be of service to all, especially those within the household of faith. We have not been set free to gratify our own desires, but to seek the reconciliation of all things and all people to God in Christ.

In Jesus we have been set free to live by the power of the Holy Spirit. Listen in this week as Fr. Perry walks us through some of what that looks like.

At baptism we say, "you are sealed with the Holy Spirit, marked as Christ's own forever." What does it mean for our everyday lives to as children of God set free from the "present evil age"? Listen in as Fr. Shawn explores this news from Paul's letter to the church.

Most religious beliefs go something like: 1. Believe, 2. Do things, 3.You're made right. Jesus' invitation to us is radically different. In fact, it's really good news. Saint Paul writes in his letter to the Galatians that encountering the living Jesus changed everything. The Gospel goes like this: 1. Believe in Jesus, 2. You're made right with God, 3. You're set free to be changed

What is the good life you're working for? What if the good life is something you didn't expect? How do we get there? Are there strings attached? This week we begin a new series looking at the life that God has set us free to live in Jesus. Join us in the coming weeks as we study St. Paul's letter to the Galatians, and his message that we have been set free in Jesus to believe the Gospel.

One of the most important questions we ask in life is "Who is God?" In this week's sermon, Fr. Shawn explains how the nature of God isn't just a trip through theology-land but a look into something very personal--God's great love for you.

The Spirit of God is with us! He is given to the church, filling it with the power and Life of God for the sake of others.

The Ascension of Jesus isn't a story about Him going away to heaven like a super hero, but an incredible claim on our lives today.

In this last week of Eastertide, and the final chapters of the book of Revelation we see a picture of reality coming forward to meet us even now, here in South Austin. God is making all things new through His son Jesus, and we are invited to participate in His goodness.
