Jesus sends the gift of Spirit Baptism to us so that we will be filled with power to do all that he calls us to do.

The scriptures teach us that Jesus intends for every Christian to experience the Holy Spirit in a personal, powerful, and supernatural way after we become followers of Jesus. This experience of Spirit Baptism fills us with power to attempt and accomplish all that God calls us to do.

Dr. Billy Wilson, President of Oral Roberts University, encouraged us to seek Jesus’ promise that we would be clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish all that God has for us.

The Holy Spirit is involved in every step of our spiritual journey. He helps us see the difference between right and wrong, reveals Jesus as our Savior, and assures us that we are part of God’s family.

The Holy Spirit is God, the Holy Spirit is a gift from Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is for you! Today, we kicked off a new message series exploring the person, power, and presence of the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus calls us into community it is always a multi-generational experience where we learn from those who have gone before us, and take responsibility for those coming after us.

Jesus makes us insiders in his community. He then enables us to leverage our insider status to welcome outsiders into a transforming experience of community with us.

Every Christian is created to live in Formational Communities that help us follow Jesus, and in Missionary Communities where we help others discover new life in Christ.

Jesus designed us to live in a united community where our connection to him allows us to appreciate our differences and be at peace with each other.

God created us to experience the transforming power of Christ centered community. Too often we miss out on this experience because we give all of our time and energy to cheap imitations of community.

Our Associate Pastor Mike Buie has 40 years of experience helping others find their place in community. Today he shared insights into how we can all enjoy the benefits of community together and build God’s kingdom at the same time.

In this kickoff to a new message series on community, Pastor Chris explores why God made us for community and five common obstacles we must overcome to experience his plan.

Esther’s story teaches us that God arranges the details of our lives to get in us in the right place at the right time to be part of his kingdom action in the world.

We learn through the story of Samuel that we have an inheritance of hearing God’s voice, and a responsibility to obey Him with He speaks to us. The life of Samuel teaches us how we can hear God’s voice for ourselves, and that we should also help others hear and discern God’s voice when He is speaking to them.

Daniel was unashamed of the God he served despite the culture he found himself in. Daniel was firm in standing out because he was committed, prayed, stood together with his friends, and his end goal was always the glorification of God. It’s through these examples that we can strive to glorify God in our own lives.

David’s life demonstrates his commitment to worship in all seasons and circumstances. Through David, we have received an inheritance to worship God likewise.

Joseph teaches us that we are recipients of God’s life-changing favor. It’s a favor that changes our future, endures every hardship, and turns setbacks into setups.
