Synopsis
Just two middle-aged jackasses from Melbourne playing music, talking about music, life and other things. Because what the world really needs is more of that. You'll hear classic punk, prog, electronica, Japanese ambience, avant-garde jazz, reggae and everything in between. No genre barriers - just good music. Our motto: We WILL get better!

This Ain't No Picnic EP 2
13/05/2019 Duration: 01h41minEpisode 2 is finally up! It's just Dave Lang from now on, as Josh has skipped town and it'll be a solo effort from this point forward. Some blather, lots of music, and always it's a highly eclectic mix featuring: PHILIP JECK, DAVID SYLVIAN, ELISA RANDAZZO, KALEIDOSCOPE, JULY, SACCHARINE TRUST, SLOVENLY, UNIVERSAL CONGRESS OF, WILLIAM PARKER, THE POP GROUP and more (possibly). Yup, TANP is now a SOLO Dave Lang venture - take that as you will. Hoping to get some friends in the 'studio' (i.e.. kitchen) soon for some interviews. In the meantime, it's MUSIC. I hope you enjoy.

This Ain't No Picnic EP 1
27/02/2019 Duration: 01h32minHey! This is the first episode of the podcast, helmed and operated by Dave Lang and Josh Meggitt. We are two (possibly tragic) middle-aged music dorks from Melbourne, Australia, who met over a decade ago in a music-related workplace, and have experience in the worlds of music retail and distribution, record labels, touring, DJing, writing, broadcasting and more. In this episode, we introduce ourselves and what we hope to achieve with the podcast. Essentially, it's us playing an eclectic range of music we like, talking about it, telling stories and hopefully being entertaining. In this episode you will hear TONY WILLIAMS LIFETIME, JOHN SIMON, T2, ICHIKO AOBA, HARVEY MANDEL, AKIRA SAKATA, MIROSLAV VITOUS, HAPPY MEAL, MAY BLITZ, RELATIVELY CLEAN RIVERS and more. Lots more to come - enjoy!
