The first three of these new episodes will be piano pieces based on Gregorian Chant melodies, similar to Podcast #013. The other two Lenten episodes will consist of a supplement to a previous episode and a new piece. After Lent, I'll be taking a few weeks off. Then, on April 16, 2010, I'll be making an announcement regarding the future of this podcast. I do plan to keep it going, but there are going to be some changes in scheduling and content. I am also planning some significant additions to the functionality of this website. These additions will also be announced and made in April. And that's it for this announcement. But before I sign off, I do want to express my thanks to you for returning to t

Announcement -- January 30, 2009
30/01/2009 Duration: 02minHello, all. Kevin Sanderson-Doughty here once again. After a much-longer-than-anticipated hiatus, the Sung Prayers Podcast is starting back up again. My apologies for how long it has been since something new was shared here. The move to our new home and all that that entailed took a lot more time and energy than expected. Another factor (one which my wife and I welcomed with great joy) was the birth of our first child in December. I ask any parents out there to vouch for me that our new daughter has indeed captured the bulk of our attention. But the time has come to get the Sung Prayers Podcast going once again. With its return, I am switching over to a twice-a-month release schedule, instead of the original once-a-week schedule. I want to ensure that I will be able to give the same attention to each release that I did before, and this new schedule should help me to do this. So, over the next couple of days, I will be releasing the twenty-fourth installment of the Sung Prayers Podcast as well as a P

Announcement -- June 19, 2008
19/06/2008 Duration: 01minHello, all. Kevin here with a short announcement. The Sung Prayers Podcast will be taking a break for the summer. My wife and I are in the midst of preparing to move cross-country, and the busy-ness of packing, house-hunting, job-hunting, and saying good-bye to dear friends (not to mention the impending move itself) is pretty much swallowing up all my time. I am planning on resuming the podcast in September, though it’s likely I’ll be shifting to an every-other-week release schedule. Even once the move is accomplished, there will still be a number of significant changes coming up in our lives, and shifting to an every-other-week format is looking much more doable at this point. My thanks to all of you who have visited the website or subscribed to the podcast. And my thanks to everyone who has shared the music here with others. I look forward to returning to this project in the Fall, and I hope you’ll come back to it, too. Peace, Kevin
