Episodes

  • Ep. 68 Conversations we hate to have, but have to have.

    05/11/2019 Duration: 18min

In this episode, I discuss why honest conversations are so important. Most of us hate to have that honest convo. Anything that starts with " We need to talk" or "Can we talk" tends to send a chill up most of our spines. These conversations tend to be difficult and they don't always feel good. I've had more than I can count so I absolutely know how difficult they can be. (Even if you have a great poker face...lol)  But I've come to realize that they are the key to real understanding, real freedom to show up as you are, and real peace of mind.  This episode started as I was contemplating my own difficult conversation I knew I needed to have. I was sitting on my porch playing it out in my head, wondering just how much longer I could put it off. And then I begin to think back on the positive outcomes of past difficult conversations. And I knew it was something I had to once again do.  If you need to have a difficult conversation and need some support send me a message. I'll share my tip with you.&n

  • Ep. 67 Our "Why's" can't be more important than our "Who's" - What is passion meeting purpose really about?

    29/10/2019 Duration: 19min

During this episode, I share a revelation I had as I was journaling.  We hear a lot of people, including myself talk about our "Why". What is motivating us? Is it our family? Or a desire to create wealth? Or our desire to leave our 9 to 5's for more freedom? Each of our "whys" can be very different.  And all of those things are justifiable reasons to want to pursue our dreams. They at times can be what motivates us. But they can not be more important than the "Who". Check out this week's episode to see who the "who" is. • Ep. 66 It's okay, you are evolving. You should look different.

    29/10/2019 Duration: 20min

In this episode, I must say I was in rare form. As people, we are called to evolve. If we aren't evolving or growing, then what are we doing? Sometimes we can experience push back when we grow. Things don't look the same, we don't talk the same, we don't act the same! Well, we shouldn't because we have grown! I dive into this topic and have fun with different analogs to describe our transformation. Keep evolving ladies!! • Ep. 63 Tell doubt to go to HELL! Self-doubt can't live here.

    01/10/2019 Duration: 18min

Doubts creep up on the best of us. It's normal for us to second guess decisions or choices we are going to make or have made. But it's really important for us to realize that not every negative thought belongs to us. Sometimes the enemy tried to plant seeds of doubt to throw us off course. In this episode I discuss why I tell the devil to go to HELL and get out of my head! • Ep. 62 Obstacles and Detours...we all face them.

    24/09/2019 Duration: 21min

Have you ever been excited about a new dream, vision, or goal you have set? It's an exhilarating feeling when a new opportunity presents itself....and then this happens. We face a roadblock, an obstacle or a detour, and suddenly we are questioning whether or not we should stay the course. It happens to me ALL the time. In this episode, I discuss this and why it's so important to keep going.  Sisters in Purpose https://www.facebook.com/groups/1474753039313559/ Second Chances https://www.amazon.com/Second-Chances-Thought-Straight-Cleaned/dp/1546216480/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=second+chances+latisha+gray&qid=1569279583&s=gateway&sr=8-1 --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tisha-talks/message

  • Ep. 61 No often means that there is something better.

    17/09/2019 Duration: 22min

Have you ever been told no? I think we all have. Normally we think of it as a let down or a failure, but no can often times mean that there is something better. In this episode I discuss how I came to understand that. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tisha-talks/message

  • Ep. 54 Did you just kick me to the curb?

    15/09/2019 Duration: 31min

Yes Girl! I have been kicked to the curb. What do I mean? When you try to be helpful or do something for someone and they just ignore your efforts. How many times have you extended yourself to someone only for them to have selective memory...lol. It's true people do it all the time. What i've learned, is that sometimes your best efforts can go unappreciated based on how the other person perceived or received them. You can think you are doing so much for someone and it could be the complete opposite of what they want or need. Then there are those times when people just don't place the same value on your efforts.  So how do you handle the rejection? How do you handle being kicked to the curb?  To join sisters in purpose face book group click: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1474753039313559/?ref=bookmarks To follow Tisha Talks Fb: https://www.facebook.com/Tisha-Talks-188323631764108/ To visit my website: www.tishatalks.org To follow me on IG click: https://www.instagram.com/tisha_talks/ --- Send in a voice

  • Ep. 55 Interview with Monique Edwards, ESQ

    06/08/2019 Duration: 43min

Today's podcast is a re-rewind. It is an interview that I did with Monique Carkum Edwards  earlier in 2019. She is a phenomenal woman who has an awesome story of why she left her job as a successful corporate attorney to pursue her purpose.  Whether working as a career coach, executive strategist, or pastor, Monique is passionate about serving others into greatness. Prior to founding Gravitas Executive Coaching, Monique spent over 18 years working as a corporate attorney. After graduating from the NYU School of Law, she practiced at New York-based law firm Debevoise & Plimpton before joining the legal team at Honeywell International, where she quickly advanced from Assistant General Counsel of Corporate Finance to divisional General Counsel, providing legal oversight for one of the company’s global business segments. Even with all of the corporate success Monique had she still did not feel fulfilled. In this episode she shares her journey and what prompted her to begin looking for fulfillment.

  • Ep. 53 Can we be friends?

    23/07/2019 Duration: 21min

Seems like a weird question right? Especially at my age, but it's a real question. Connecting with other women can be challenging. Sometimes it can be very difficult to be friends. But what I've come to realize is that as difficult as it maybe friendships are needed. We were meant to connect with other people. We need community, we need relationships, they make life worth living. It's called sisterhood. In this episode I give some advice for staying the course when a friendship becomes challenging. • Ep. 52 The grass isn't greener.... it's probably fake. Lol

    16/07/2019 Duration: 20min

In this episode I discuss the how the grass may look greener, but it could very well be because it is fake...lol. How often do we get caught up in what we think someone has and compare ourselves to them? Comparison is the thief of joy. No more comparisons, we have to worry about our own grass.
